Mini Air Conditioner Cooling Options
Welcome to our website which provides the latest information for a mini air conditioner. In this article we want
to provide you with three very popular options for you to consider.
Most people hate hot weather. When the temperature outside climbs to an unbearable point, most people look for
the cool comfort of air conditioning. However, most air-conditioners are something that we take for granted even
though we see them everyday.
You'll normally see large units outside to cool homes and office buildings, but you can also get a mini air
conditioner which has tremendous advantages. The main two are cost and ease of installation.
A mini air conditioner is extremely easy to install compared to a large unit where you have to build a concrete
slab to place the condenser and run duct-work throughout the house.
If you need to cool a small area, a mini air conditioner is the most practical. There are several types that you
can choose from.
Small Window Unit: This type of air conditioner is mounted in a window and is a convenient way
of cooling smaller rooms where your installation options are limited. Typically, it will only cool one average
sized room with an adjustable thermostat and variable fan speeds.
Most window units will include some type of mounting kit and mesh allowing it to be installed in most sized
windows. You will want one that has built in filtration to clean the air and remove microbes that aggravate allergy
and respiratory problems.
Portable Air Conditioner: A very lightweight and economical option to cool small rooms or
offices. It is able to be rolled from room to room and uses an evaporator air cooler, so it works much better than
a fan that simply blows hot air around.
The design is very well engineered as it sucks air through a wick which is saturated with water. As the air
flows through the wick, water will evaporate into the air and will help eliminate heat. The result is a cool air
stream that will be blown out of the front of the unit.
The portability of this mini air conditioner is unique in that it can be moved from room to room. This will
allow you to avoid purchasing multiple window units which can be quite costly. This work great for people living
alone or a college student staying in a dorm room.
Split Air Conditioner: This method of air conditioning is a relatively new technology, but is
very cost effective is cooling larger spaces. It is comprised of two parts: a small indoor evaporator and a larger
outdoor condenser. The indoor part is mounted to the wall and connects with 3.5" wiring to the condenser. The
advantage is that no duct-work is needed. It works much better than a traditional window unit, but costs less than
a large air conditioner.
By installing this mini air conditioner, it is not necessary to use window space or cut large openings in your
walls. Also, since the compressor is operating outside, noise is whisper quiet.
With several cost effective options waiting for the consumer, there is little reason to bake in a sweltering
house or office.
